I personally love this song. There is something deeply necessary and utterly raw about the message it carries. The promises of God’s Word—that He completely takes away our shame so we can stand firm in Him—is a truth that all of humanity desperately needs. It’s a message that we, as believers, need to be reminded of constantly when the fire gets hot and the spiritual warfare feels overwhelming.
We so often walk around carrying baggage that Christ has already paid for in full. The accuser wants us sidelined, crippled by disgrace and the heavy ghosts of our past. But writing “No More Disgrace” was a reminder to my own soul that the Cross was entirely sufficient. When the heavy guitars kick in and that massive chorus hits, it’s not just music; it’s a tangible, screaming reminder that we are washed, held, and known. Stand firm, church. The shame is gone.
